THE BLUE HOUR
Ranchland between dusk and dark — bales, wire, cattle, and the last warm light.
This series is a catch-all. Not one of these shots was planned, most of them happened pulling over on the side of the road on the way home from work, running an errand, or just going for a drive on a cool night. That's the thing about this beautiful landscape God has blessed us with: you don't have to go looking for it. So much open space, sometimes less is more. There's no noise out here besides the wind tangling seed heads, cattle letting you know they see you, or coyotes calling. Hogs, jackrabbits, bobcats, hawks, snakes, deer, I've seen it all. We live in a wild, still somewhat untamed part of the country. These are that experience, through my eyes."
